DESCRIPTION

The project investigated the Assiut Barrage, which is constructed across the Nile River at Assiut City in Upper Egypt.

 

PROGRAM OF WORK

 

14 boreholes with continuous sampling using Mazier and double core with diamond pits, having a depth ranging from 15m to 30m.

 

Installation of 106 piezometers with a depth ranging from 5m to 25m.

 

Two boreholes using shall & auger machine down to a depth of 50m on the east and west sides of the Nile.

 

Two offshore boreholes carried out using shall and auger machine down to a depth of 50m in the Nile.

 

Two CPTU with a depth ranging from 17m to 18m.
