Near Idku on the east side of the existing Rosetta Plant, Egypt

DESCRIPTION

The site is located at Idku, El-Behaira, approximately 40km east of Alexandria City on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea. The site is adjacent and east of the existing Rosetta (gas facility) Plant.

The areas are low lying with ground elevations generally ranging between approximately -0.4m to +2.8m MSL.

PROGRAM OF WORK

Fifteen boreholes 60.0m deep

One borehole 55.0m deep

Eleven boreholes 40.0m deep

Eight boreholes 35.0m deep

Twenty-five boreholes 30.0m deep

Twelve boreholes 20.0m deep

One borehole 15.0m deep

Twenty piezometers 5.50m deep

Seventy-two CPTU tests at depths varying from 15.0 to 39m with dissipation test

Seven Seismic Cone SCPTu tests at depths varying from 36.0 to 38.0m.

Thirty-two geotechnical test pits at depths varying from 0.60 to 2.70m.

Twenty-five environmental test pits at depths varying from 0.80 to 1.50m.

Geophysical survey, including down-hole seismic testing, electrical resistivity test and utility detection

The samples were collected by continuous coring technique using thin wall tube, and SPT.
