DESCRIPTION

The 162-acre (65.56 hectares) methanol plant is designed to produce 3,600 MTPD of refined product.  Fresh water for the plant will be taken from the Nile River at a site approximately 6 Km from the main plant site. Wastewater effluent will be discharged into the Mediterranean Sea, approximately 3.5 Km from the main plant site. Both the freshwater and wastewater effluent will be routed via underground pipelines to and from the main plant site.  Adjacent to the main plant site, a jetty (wharf) will be further developed for ship berthing.
