The Greater Cairo Metro Line 4 was constructed in two phases and is designed to ultimately run from Hadaek El Ashgar Station in west Cairo to a station in New Cairo in east Cairo, south of the International Airport. The overall distance is approximately 43 km. Phase 1, which we completed, involved the western section, approximately 18.8 km in length, terminating at El Malek El Saleh with an extension to a “Turn-back Point” an additional 1.3 km east at El Fustat.
Engineering Work Completed for the Project:
Boreholes and Sampling:
Drilled 13 boreholes with continuous sampling using Mazier and Vibro-percussion techniques, with depths ranging from 30m to 52m.
Drilled 15 boreholes with continuous sampling using Mazier and Vibro-percussion techniques, with depths ranging from 30m to 50m.
